Phone Apps for Live Boxing Scores
On the 3rd of December 2011 Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito will finally meet each other for the Super Welterweight WBA World Championship at Madison Square Garden in New York. This is the second time these two will meet and for a long time, it looked as though the match would not go ahead. It has now been confirmed it will, however, to the relief of many boxing fans.
However, because of the delay in confirming that Margarito would receive his boxing license, some people have decided not to buy tickets just yet, and now find they don’t have the time to do so anymore. Of course, there are also those that are simply unable to attend, due to work or family commitments or whatever other reason. Luckily for all of these people, it is possible to receive live boxing scores on Android or iOS phones, with some specialised apps.
For iPhones or iPads, you can get the free Sports Illustrated app, which will give you the scores as they happen. For Android phones, there are a range of apps available, including the Fox Sports app, which is a favourite for many people.
Some of the apps that you will have to pay for include Boxing News Pro or Boxing Hot News. Although these aren’t free, they do offer a range of other benefits, including more lively commentary. It is up to you, of course, whether you want to pay for an app or whether you want to try a free app, with the risk of having some advertisements running through it.
Another option, of course, is to find a boxing blog that is dedicated to the Cotto vs. Margarito fight and follow that, although you will not be able to actually receive the information in real time. Or you might pick a peer-to-peer feed and watch Cotto vs Margarito live streaming.
