Using your iPhone or your iTouch for more than just phone calls, texting and checking your e-mail is every webmaster’s dream. Being able to keep control of your website just as if you were using your own home computer is now possible thanks to the next generation of cell phones, of which the iPhone and its brother the iTouch are leading the way. So if you come across one of the many mobile phone deals for the iPhone, you should know that there are a few apps for it that’ll allow you to take control of your website on the go.

One application that no webmaster should do without is the WHOIS app. I’m not even going to insult you into going to a great detail about what it does, just that is works perfectly. Another one is the Domain Scout app. With just a few clicks you can figure out whether a domain is taken or for sale and you can perform a whois and dns search on any given domain, which comes in really handy. A similar application to this one is one called Web Tools, which performs similar functions to the Domain Scout. Deciding between the two is a matter of personal taste.
